Pro Angler Adrian Avenas Gear

In 2008, while attending Chestnut Hill College, Adrian discovered tournament bass fishing and helped to start the fishing team at his school, which competed in the FLW Collegiate Series. He quickly found success fishing competitively and after graduating, he moved on to begin his professional angling career on the FLW Tour in 2012. The following 4 years on the FLW Tour saw him eclipse $300,000 in tournament winnings and notch 11 Top 10 Finishes to go with 1 FLW Cup appearance.

2016 saw Adrian make the move to fish the Bassmaster Elite Series after an impressive performance in the 2015 B.A.S.S Northern Opens. Fishing against some of the best anglers in the world on the Elite Series allowed Adrian to even further hone his skillset. Over his 3 years fishing the Elites, Adrian notched multiple Top 10 finishes and capped it off with fulfilling his dream of qualifying for the 2019 Bassmaster Classic on the Tennessee River where he finished with a respectable 13th place finish.

The year 2019 brought what most would consider a major shake up to the structure of professional bass fishing. With Major League Fishing launching the newly formed and invite-only Bass Pro Tour, Adrian made the decision to accept his invitation and compete on the Bass Pro Tour moving forward. With a complete change in format (total fish weight vs. 5 heaviest) and completely new bodies of water, Adrian embraced the challenge with a solid year on Tour.

While not traveling the country competing; you'll find Adrian spending time with family, working on home improvement projects, bow hunting, saltwater fun-fishing, or more likely than not - guiding clients as part of his Saltwater charter service "Jersey Boy Charters" up and down the coast of New Jersey. From freshwater bass fishing, to inshore species such as Striped Bass and Blackfish, to offshore bruisers like Bluefin Tuna - he's truly a multi-faceted angler that we are proud to have as part of the TackleDirect family.
